Short version: no ads, no analytics and no cookies. There is no account: what you do in FDSP stays on your device.

What stays on your device
Your favorite tracks and stations, your tastes (hearts and thumbs down), your listening log and stats, your blind test scores, your tape and your layout choices are stored in your browser (local storage). They are not sent to us. You can erase them at any time from the app (for example "Reset my taste") or by clearing the site data in your browser.
What our server sees
- To play a station through our server, your browser connects to us and we pass the audio on. Your IP address is used in memory only, to limit the number of simultaneous streams per visitor. We do not keep access logs of visitors' IP addresses.
- To show what is playing, your browser asks us for the current tracks of the stations. For artist and station information, your browser sends us an artist or station name. We look it up on Wikipedia, iTunes or MusicBrainz ourselves: those services do not receive anything about you from us.
- Some stations (for example Radio France's webradios and a few others) are played directly from the station. In that case the station sees your IP address and browser, as it would with any visitor.
- For a few stations that do not announce their tracks, our server identifies them by sending short samples of the station's own audio to a recognition service. No data about visitors is involved.
Services we use
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts the server.
- Cloudflare provides the domain name service (DNS) only. It does not carry the site's traffic.
- Fonts are hosted by us. We do not use Google Fonts, advertising or tracking services.
Accounts
There are no accounts yet. If we introduce them (planned: sign-in with Google or e-mail, to keep your library and tastes across devices), we will update this page before collecting anything, and tell you what is stored, why, for how long, and how to export or delete it.
Your rights
Since we keep no personal data about you on our side today, there is nothing to access or erase on the server. In general you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR, and you can complain to the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr). To exercise a right or ask a question, use the contact above.
